The Vaishnava Sanga Festival is held this year at the Rodeway Inn Festival in Stratford, Ontario, and you will be asked to pay only for your room during the registration process.

The costs for the festival, separate from accommodations, include Prasadam, sound equipment, flowers, decorations, supplies, and travel expense for speakers (see detailed breakdown in the next answer).

You are not required to pay for any of these expenses as the festival is designed in such a way to facilitate the voluntary spirit of giving which is a core principle of the Vaishnava tradition.

However, this festival can only happen and continue through the donations and generous support from the Devotees. Those who have the ability to make larger donations, your contributions will help cover the costs for participants who may not be able to support the event as much financially.

Please be aware that the registration process is based on a third-party fundraising/payment platform Zeffy that will ask you for an OPTIONAL fee when paying for your accommodation. You can choose to select any amount (including $0) in a dedicated dropdown below your total as shown in the picture below:

You can cancel your registration and receive reimbursement up until 30 days before the festival date. After that, reimbursement won’t be possible and your payment will be considered as a donation for supporting the festival.

We recommend that you register and pay online through the website in advance. This helps us to plan, and prepare in a way that we may be able  to serve you better (logistics, Prasadam quantity, number of children participating in the Children program, etc).

Yes. The donation option during registration is optional and you can contribute towards the festival later.

Yes. We’ll be issuing donation receipts in person at the festival, or you can get a digital copy after the festival via email.

If you are from Ottawa

There will be transportation provided to/from the festival for those devotees from Ottawa who are planning to attend the whole festival, from May 14 to May 18. Let us know about your transportation request during the registration process in a dedicated field for comments and questions.

If you are planning to attend after the first day of the festival, you will have to find someone who is coming for the same dates as you are (no transportation will be provided from our side after May 15 as the core team will leave on Thursday/Friday first part of the day).

If you are from Montreal/Toronto

When registering, please let us know in a dedicated field for comments and questions about your transportation request and we will do our best to connect you with some devotees from your city who already registered and might have extra space in the vehicle for you. 

If you are coming by plane from another province/state/country

When registering, please let us know in a dedicated field for comments and questions about your flight arrival time so we can pick you up from the airport.
